5 Ways To Bring Your Dead Email List Back To Life

Steps you need to take in order to revive your dying email list

Do not send out anymore emails to your list until you give yourself a good shake. Your list is the most valuable thing you own. Well it’s maybe not the most valuable thing you own, but it is to the people who use their list properly, which is a rarity these days. If you’re not making good money from your list it means you are doing something terribly wrong. Once people start unsubscribing they won’t come back. Is that what you want to happen?

You can breathe a sigh of relief because it’s not too late. If you’ve been treating your list badly and they haven’t been buying your products you can still change things. You can turn your list into a profitable asset. Not only will the people you have on your list start buying from you, but the people who have yet to join your list won’t even know you messed up. Let’s take a look at what you should do in order to breathe new life into your list.

Build for the future

When you start building a list it might be tempting to start blasting it with offers because you think you will make more money. When you ask people to get their wallet out every few days they will stop reading your emails. From now on you should only think about the future and that means forgetting about instant riches. Start promoting less products and people will start reading more of your emails again.

Get them to like you

Are you the person who gives them some information every few days, or are you their friend? There is a big difference and if you are just a random marketer who sends them emails they won’t read a lot of them. If you start talking about yourself it will give people a chance to know the real you. Friendships will be built and everyone will read your emails every day because they like you. Do you have anything interesting you can share with the list?

Change their life

If you want to make people take notice of you again you must start changing their life. How many emails do you think they get every day? Most of those emails will be giving them pointless information. Some might be giving them information that helps them out a little. You need to start giving them information that will change their life. Give them one small piece of actionable advice in each email and once they notice the results they will read everything you send them.

Don’t spam them

If you’re going to promote a product you better make sure it’s a good one, because when someone buys something from you and it’s rubbish it will leave a bad taste in their mouth. Would you like to receive offers on spam products every day? Make sure everything you offer them is amazing and they will begin to think they need to buy everything you recommend. You must also never promote anything you haven’t tested yourself.

Attend copywriting school

It’s not just the information you send them that is important. It’s also the way you say it because everyone loves to be entertained. If you don’t know how to do that it’s something you will have to learn. There is no other option because your email list is so important. If you don’t want to become a great storyteller you can always hire a copywriter who will write your emails for you after you tell them what to say.

It’s now or never

Don’t let your list fizzle out and die. You’ve spent a long time building it and you will bring it back to life. You also need to think about the people who will join up in the future. If you don’t get your act together you will be throwing away money, so sort it out.
